Final 2024 Olympics Results, Indonesia Takes the Lead Over Malaysia

The Paris 2024 Olympics officially concluded in the early hours of Monday, August 12, 2024.
The Indonesian team finished in 39th place with a total of three medals: two golds and one bronze, with no silver medals. This result made Indonesia the second-best Southeast Asian representative, just behind the Philippines, which ranked 37th with two golds and two bronzes.
Below Indonesia, Thailand ranked 44th with one gold, three silvers, and two bronzes, while Malaysia ended up in 80th place with no golds, no silvers, and two bronzes.

Meanwhile, the United States maintained its position as the top nation in the Paris 2024 Olympics, securing 40 gold medals, 44 silvers, and 42 bronzes, for a total of 126 medals.
China, which had previously led the standings, finished second with 40 gold medals, 27 silvers, and 24 bronzes. Despite having the same number of gold medals as the US, China fell short in the total number of medals.
Japan, which had consistently been in the sixth or seventh positions during the Olympics, made a surprising leap to finish in the top three. Japan ended up in third place with 20 golds, 12 silvers, and 13 bronzes.
Australia, traditionally a strong performer, was overtaken by Japan and fell to fourth place with 18 golds, 19 silvers, and 16 bronzes.

Finally, the host nation, France, ended up in fifth place with 16 golds, 26 silvers, and 22 bronzes, for a total of 64 medals.
