The National Standardization Body (BSN) awarded SNI Award 2021 to 98 organizations and companies.

Of the number of recipients of the 2021 SNI Award, two of them are the Garudafood factory in Gresik, East Java and the factory in Rancaekek, Sumedang, West Java.

The factory in Gresik won for the gold category with the predicate of appreciation from the BSN team and the jury.

Head of BSN Kukuh S Achmad handed over the 2021 SNI Award to the Director of Garudafood as a representative from the Gresik factory, Rudy Brigianto and Sofyan Iskandar a representative from the factory in Rancaekek.

The award presentation was held at The 16th National Quality Award of Indonesia which was held in Jakarta, Thursday (18/11). Rudy Brigianto explained that Garudafood through its 2 factories is indeed actively participating in the SNI Award event.

Rudy emphasized that Garudafood maintains its commitment to produce products with the best product quality standards.

Kukuh S Achmad said that this year's SNI Award participants had registered in 2020, which was followed by a site evaluation in 2021.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made the procedure for evaluating the SNI Award adapt to following the health protocol.

Kukuh said the assessment was carried out online using ICT (information and communication technology). The increasing number of SNI Award participants from year to year is an indication that the SNI Award criteria have been used by organizations/business actors as a reference in developing their organizations in obtaining sustainable performance results. There are 231 organizations/companies that have registered for the 2021 SNI Award. Of these, 113 organizations/companies have passed the site evaluation stage.

"The jury has determined that 98 organizations/companies are entitled to receive the 2021 SNI Award," he said. The jury is chaired by Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, who currently serves as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. 

The SNI Award is a national-scale award ceremony as a form of appreciation to organizations which consistently applies the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and has superior performance and is globally competitive.
