In celebration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day, KCIC is offering a special promotion for passengers of the Whoosh high-speed train called the 17% Independence Day Discount. This promotion is available for Premium Economy class tickets from Jakarta (Halim) to Bandung (Padalarang or Tegalluar) on all Whoosh departures on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Eva Chairunisa, General Manager of Corporate Secretary at KCIC, announced that tickets for departures on August 17, 2024, can now be purchased. To take advantage of the promotion, customers can access purchasing channels such as the Whoosh app, the website ticket.kcic.co.id, Ticket Vending Machines, and station counters, as well as partner apps like Access by KAI, Livin by Mandiri, BRImo, and BNI Mobile Banking. The displayed fare for Premium Economy class on August 17 will automatically include the 17% discount.

"KCIC is offering this promotion on all Whoosh departures to commemorate Indonesia's 79th Independence Day. We want to show our appreciation to the people of Indonesia for their support and for using the Whoosh high-speed train service," Eva stated in her announcement on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

There are 48 Whoosh departures on August 17, 2024, that will be eligible for the promotion, with a total of 26,640 Premium Economy seats available, or 555 seats per trip.

The 17% Independence Day Discount cannot be combined with the Frequent Whooser Card program or other discounts. However, tickets already purchased for travel on August 17 can still be canceled or rescheduled according to the applicable terms and conditions.

This fare discount is also expected to boost domestic tourism, encouraging more travelers to explore various destinations in Indonesia quickly and comfortably.
