Thai food is indeed known for its sour and spicy flavors. Many people enjoy the flavors because of their uniqueness and, of course, because the prices are affordable! So in this article, we will review several dining spots in Bangkok, Thailand, that are both delicious and wallet-friendly :

AMA is a classy Thai restaurant in Bangkok that offers stunningly authentic Thai food at affordable prices. Its cozy and comfortable atmosphere makes it popular with both locals and tourists. The staff are super friendly, and the ambiance is welcoming and unpretentious.

Located in Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok, Sit and Wonder is a warm and comfortable restaurant that serves basics like deep-fried marinated pork and spicy seafood noodles. There's no need to book a table; you can walk in and order right away.  Price range per dishes are about 20 – 250 Bath.

3. Pad Thai Thipsamai

Pad Thai is not only Thailand's national dish but also the most renowned Thai dish worldwide. If you visit any Western Thai restaurant, Pad Thai will be the front and center of the menu. Located in Samran Rat, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok; Thipsamai is the most famous and oldest Pad Thai restaurant in Bangkok.  The price itself starts from 150 Baht.

 

4. Suda Restaurant

If you’re staying in the Sukhumvit area, this is a good spot to stop by at for an affordable Thai meal in a simple setting. The restaurant has been a longtime favorite among locals and tourists alike for its affordable and delightful Thai-Chinese cuisine. Meals are served on plastic-covered tables with seating on plastic chairs, creating an open-to-the-street ambiance reminiscent of street food stalls. Suda tends to get very busy in the evenings, so be prepared to wait for a table. Simple plates start at around 80-100 baht with main courses around the 150 baht and up price point.

 

5. Home Cafe Tha Tian

Home Cafe Tha Tian is a vegan-friendly Thai restaurant that offers meat dishes while ensuring vegan options are available. Their vegetarian menu excludes fish and oyster sauce and can accommodate requests to omit eggs. Besides, they serve soy milk as well. The location itself is perfect for a morning visit to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, followed by lunch here. Prices fee start from 40 Baht.
